About the event
We typically attend Region 12 conferences, but many other regional events are in surrounding states that don't fall within our district so we're happy to plan trips to other conferences you may be interested. Let us know what you're interested in attending and we'll work with the school and other SPJ chapter leaders to organize a trip for the chapter members interested in attending. A standard convention typically includes several workshops and speeches with experts in the field local to the event, networking opportunities and awards ceremonies. Other times, chapters might host workshops or events open to journalists outside of the chapter. There are also annual national conferences.
